1. What governs my relationship with Neevo?
It is important to note that the relationship between Neevo and You is regulated through the Neevo Community Member Agreement, which is available and was accepted by You in order to proceed with the creation of Your account. This Neevo Community Member Agreement establishes the terms and conditions, as well as the responsibilities inherent in the use of Neevo, particularly for Your participation in the available jobs.
Additionally, from a privacy perspective, please consider the Privacy Policy available. This Privacy Policy outlines which personal data will be processed, the respective purposes of the processing, the manner of exercising Your privacy rights, among other legally required information. We remind You that creating Your account also required You to read and accept this Privacy Policy.
2. When I participate in the jobs available on Neevo, do the mentioned documents still apply?
Yes. The Neevo Community Member Agreement and the Privacy Policy apply generally to all activities on Neevo. Please bear in mind that You have entered into an agreement that underpins all Your contributions on Neevo. It is crucial that you read and fully understand the contractual obligations to which you are bound.
In addition to the above and in line with our commitment to transparency, we will ask You to consent to the Data Collection Agreement (Transparency Sheet) before participating in each job. This Data Collection Agreement provides additional clarity to the Privacy Policy, and highlights the role of data collection in Your task participation. This document is supplementary and does not invalidate or replace any obligations outlined in the Neevo Community Member Agreement, which remain in effect.
3. How does Neevo handle my Personal Data?
You will find all the information regarding the processing of Your personal data in the Privacy Policy.
For specific concerns about how Your personal data is handled, You can contact the Privacy Team at [email protected].
4. How can I exercise my privacy rights?
You will find detailed information on how to exercise your rights in the Privacy Policy. However, in accordance with the implemented Privacy Program, please note that any request should be directed to Defined.ai via the email [email protected]. The Privacy Team, in collaboration with the Data Protection Officer, will review the request and take the necessary steps to ensure confidentiality and compliance with the required procedures in this matter.
5. Are there any restrictions on exercising my privacy rights?
Each request is thoroughly and legally reviewed by the Privacy Team, which is composed by internal and external lawyers. Defined.ai adheres to best practices in privacy and data protection, including the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and international standards such as ISO/IEC 27701, for which Defined.ai is certified. Therefore, we clarify that Defined.ai prioritizes the rights of data subjects and will execute them whenever legally permitted. However, it is important to note that not all rights are absolute, and there may be limitations or restrictions on their immediate execution. Please note that the processing of personal data carried out in the context of the use of Neevo is legitimized by the contractual execution through the Neevo Community Member Agreement. Exercising a privacy right, such as requesting the deletion of personal data, does not compromise the legality of the processing activities conducted under the Neevo Community Member Agreement already established with Defined.ai. Each request should be specific and will be analyzed on a case-by-case basis by the Privacy Team. We ensure transparency throughout the entire process, and any limitations will be promptly communicated to You.
6. Can I request the deletion of my information and the contributions submitted in a job?
It is extremely important to consider the type of jobs You may participate in (more information on the type of jobs here) and understand that any participation is directly linked to the fulfillment of contractual obligations established in the Neevo Community Member Agreement. Despite the variety of jobs that may become available, a significant majority will involve the submission of personal data, as it is an integral part of the job you choose to participate in. Please note that the objective of Neevo jobs is the creation and modeling of datasets for specific projects of Defined.ai's final clients. This underscores the importance of the obligations and rights established regarding the contents in the Neevo Community Member Agreement. Each participation in a job is essential for fulfilling the contractual obligations that Defined.ai have with their clients, and You are a crucial part of this chain.
For the purpose of deleting personal data, two situations should be distinguished:
User Account Data: This includes data that is part of maintaining Your user account on Neevo. If you are not participating in a specific job that may be pending payment or for any other reason that may be an obstacle, this data may, by principle, be deleted.
Job Contributions: This pertains to contributions already submitted for the creation and parameterization of the dataset to be sent to the final client. The data submitted for these purposes is an integral part of Your service provision. Any alteration or deletion of data may result in significant damage and losses for Defined.ai, as well as for You, as it would constitute a material breach of the Neevo Community Member Agreement.
In any case, each request for data deletion must be specific and will be evaluated individually by the Privacy Team.
7. What are the potential consequences and implications of deleting the data submitted during a job participation?
Despite the restrictions and limitations involved, please note that considering Your rights to honor, privacy, and image in accordance with the applicable laws (and which Defined.ai takes seriously), You retain the right to revoke the rights granted to Defined.ai under the Neevo Community Member Agreement.
However, please bear in mind that consequences may be applied, and You acknowledge that the withdrawal process may involve significant effort and cost, which You will bear, including any lost profits. In addition, here is a non-exhaustive list of the consequences that may result from this action:
Breach of contract: Deleting data that has been submitted as part of a job may constitute a breach of the contractual obligations outlined in the Neevo Community Member Agreement. This could result in legal action being taken against You for failing to fulfill Your contractual duties.
Damages and losses: This could include financial losses, project delays, and reputational damage. You may be held liable for these damages and required to compensate Defined.ai for any losses incurred.
Impact on client relationship: Deleting this data could negatively impact the delivery of these projects, potentially harming Defined.ai's relationships with its clients and leading to further legal and financial repercussions.
Before entering into any job, understanding the terms of the Neevo Community Member Agreement and the applicable laws will help You make an informed decision and avoid any unintended repercussions.
